Translucent, transparent

"Blue shot no.1 and 2, Oil on masonite, each piece 7 x 4-1/2 inches

As mentionned earlier on the other blog, I was planning to try something else and take a little break from painting transparencies. For two weeks I worked on a side project (a larger figurative piece) and also explored new possible fields with graphite but still, it's too early for sharing any of these. The funny thing during this period was that I felt something was missing, so I thought: how about two more small paintings on this theme... When I choose the reference picture for each piece, I discovered their intriguing complementarity, wich showed as a diptych, generate a new visual reading.

Thanks for your visit,
have a great week everyone!
