The view of this little "urban sanctuary"is situated at the midpoint on my jogging road which follows the Lachine channel, the waterfalls are produced by the opening of a near channel lock.
Water is my element I could say, the sound of rushing water is a pure blessing for one who lives near downtown.
Thanks for your visit!

This is beautiful! I love the rushing water. All of your work is amazing. I also like the paintings of glasses titled "Translucent, transparent" from March.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kristin for your generous appreciation!

Beautiful rendering of a tranquil scene. I love how you've accomplished the rocks and water...actually all of it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lokelani, your words are much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day!

Beautifully painted sense of space here Pierre...on such a small panel too...lovely. Sensative observation of that water. Well done my friend.
ReplyDeleteI wish you lived closer, I would love to paint with you and chat about your work and process.
Maybe some day...
all the best,
Todd
Hi Todd, thanks for your comment. Yes, a detailed image for that scale, it felt like painting a "miniature".
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday in New Hampshire! (not so far from Montreal you know)

So beautiful--feels much larger than it's actual size. Virtually all your paintings have that quality.
ReplyDeleteThank you Don. I aim to communicate a sense of space & presence with the paintings no matter their size, and wish to add something to their "singular object" physicality.
